Legal Assistant
The candidate will performs a variety of administrative duties related to the legal aspects of healthcare operations including risk management, legal compliance, case and other legal matter management, preparing and assisting in the response to discovery requests and subpoenas, scheduling for legal matters, calendaring and tracking of deadlines, corporate filings, trademark registrations, and other various administrative tasks. Will keep legal matters organized by establishing and maintaining files, monitoring calendars and deadlines, documenting actions, inputting information into file database and case management software, and assisting legal department in scheduling matters. Assist in processing, responding to requests for interviews, subpoenas and notices of depositions or trial testimony and helping to standardize such processes throughout the institution; assist in service of process tracking, distribution, and support, including calendaring of deadlines. Assist in the triage and processing of internal and external requests to the Office of the General Counsel and other administrative functions of the department. Compose correspondence and independently generate other communications, including e-mails, newsletters, reports, mailings, fliers and brochures through effective use of appropriate software application and/or media. Provide administrative support to the department coordinating and organizing office workflow and communications, including phone management, e-mail correspondence, file maintenance and standard mail collection/distribution to provide for optimum efficiency. Assist in the collection, processing and maintenance of corporate and facility licensing documents. Assist in maintaining intellectual property portfolio, including screening and submitting applications and renewals of potential trade names and trademarks. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
