Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation lifecycle, ranging from pre-compliant investigation through trial and appeal. Review documents for privilege and draft privilege logs for attorney review. Prepare and maintain expert witness binders. Organize and maintain physical and electronic files; coordinate document productions including but not limited to bates-stamping, redaction, duplicating and indexing documents. Perform jury research and communicate with experts and fact witnesses. Analyze medical records and prepare comprehensive medical chronologies. Drafting, revising and finalizing pleadings, motions, briefs and discovery responses. Basic knowledge of standard litigation terms. ECF filings with Federal and State courts. Requirements: Paralegal certificate preferred. 5 - 10 years of litigation and Workers Compensation experience. Experience with document control and e-filing with state and federal courts. Knowledge of eDiscovery and prior experience with document review databases, such as iPro and Relativity is preferred. Ability to handle pressure, interruptions, and multiple projects with frequently changing priorities and deadlines. Ability to perform legal research, in-depth knowledge of legal terminology and principles. Ability to analyze legal documents and ensure accuracy. Exceptional organization, writing and communication skills. Interact professionally with clients, attorneys, paralegals, secretaries, all other staff, and other representatives outside of the firm.
