ProfileCriminal Defense Paralegal The candidate will handles a variety of felony cases from burglary, felony assault, kidnapping, murder, drug related felony charges, etc. Will be responsible for all pleadings, motions, responses, etc. Also schedule hearings, depos, mediations, etc. Gathers all supporting documents, conducts research and assists in preparing for trial. Should preferably have experience working with habitual felony offenders. Must have litigation and trial experience and be comfortable working closely with individuals charged with serious felony offenses. Must have a degree in Legal Studies and have experience working criminal cases. Applicants who have worked for the prosecutor’s office are highly encouraged to apply. Must have 2 years of recent criminal experience. Must know how to E-File in state and federal courts. Must have Bachelors degree in Legal Studies. Must be expert in E-Filing. Must have advanced computer skills. Must have type no less than 45 wpm. Some litigation and trial experience is required. Note : The position is temporary and is expected to last 3 months.
