Attorney Advisor (general);GS 13 Duties: The candidate will serve as Legal Assistance Attorney providing a wide range of general, administrative, legal assistance, and tax services for the 902d Mission Support Group. Will perform various legal assignments which require research, analysis, and interpretation of policies, federal and state statues, administrative decisions, case laws, and legal opinions. Personally researches and prepares opinions on administrative law questions. Performs legal work involving Acquisitions and Contract Law. Performs legal work in the area of Labor Law.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: The candidate should have successfully completed a full course of study in a school of law accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) and have the first professional law degree (LLB or JD). Must have successfully completed a full course of study in a school of law accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) and have the first professional law degree (LLB or JD degree) and admission to and membership in good standing of the bar of any the 50 States, the District of Columbia or U.S Territory. Must have professional legal experience in excess of three years that is commensurate with the duties and responsibilities of the position to be assumed. Professional knowledge of law, legal principles, and federal regulations relevant to the duties of the position and experience to provide timely and pertinent advice is essential. General knowledge of Environmental, Labor Law, and Contracts and contractual actions is essential. General knowledge of acquisition law to include knowledge of government-wide and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFARs) is essential. Must be a graduate of a law school accredited by the American Bar Association, and be currently licensed as an attorney, in active (or equivalent) status and in good standing, with the bar of a U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth.
