Oak Brook office of our client seeks a senior real estate attorney with 10+ years broad experience in transactional real estate required, including acquisitions, sales, leasing, (including ground leases and sale-leaseback), title insurance, land use planning/entitlements, subdivision, development (including build-to-suit, reverse build-to-suit, and redevelopment projects), construction, sophisticated financing, and litigation management. The candidate will be providing thoughtful and practical advice and guidance to team members relating to all phases of commercial real estate development, from site identification, acquisition, due diligence, title review, tenanting, construction, contracting, financing, through disposition. Negotiating and drafting letters of intent, purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan documents, estoppels, SNDA's and similar documents; conducting closings. Analyzing due diligence, including title, survey, environmental and other reports. Identifying and mitigating risk exposure for the company. Managing litigation; supporting the HR function; selecting, retaining and working closely with outside counsel. Must have experience should include significant law firm employment. In-house experience, institutional real estate experience or experience with national retailers is a plus. Must have documented history working with retail, industrial, office and other asset classes.
