ProfileParalegal The candidate will compose, draft, and edit (red-line) letters and agreements. Will handle preparation of Board of Directors legal materials and SEC filings. Provide administrative support including: maintenance of calendar, copying, filing, faxing, travel planning, expense reports and phone coverage. Provide direct support to a team of three attorneys, including the SVP Deputy General Counsel, and offer a team-centric approach to assist the larger department as needed. Maintain and administer the company’s contract database and other filing systems. Coordinate with various internal departments (Finance, TV, A/R, Live Events, Digital, etc.). Act as the point of contact for other departments for copies of agreements and information regarding the status of contracts. Handle basic rights clearance and rights clearance questions. Create and generate reports. Coordinate and attend internal and external meetings and conference calls. Keep current with firm TV programs, characters, storylines, and products. Perform other tasks as assigned by management and department needs. Must have 5+ years of experience as a Paralegal/Legal Administrator in a corporate legal department or law firm. Should preferably have Bachelor degree and Paralegal certificate. Previous law firm and/or corporate entertainment experience is required. Strong PC/Word Processing skills including MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel is needed. Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written (including spelling and grammar) is must.
