Baltimore office of our client seeks an associate attorney with 4+ years of experience in employment law (either plaintiff-side or management-side). The candidate will represent clients in legal proceedings, draft legal documents, and advise clients on employment law and professional license defense related matters. Will represent clients in court and before government administrative agencies. Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients. Advise clients on employment and professional license defense matters. Produce high-quality legal work product. Negotiate settlements for legal disputes. Assist with preparing marketing materials for the firm, such as blog posts and webinars. Meet firm's established billable hour requirements. Handle court appearances, depositions, and trials. Experience handling proposed removals and proposed suspensions in federal sector cases is required. Experience representing federal employees before the U.S. EEOC and the MSPB is essential. Must have litigated a case through summary judgment in federal court as well as litigated employment cases, particularly under Title VII, FMLA, ADA, the Rehabilitation Act and FLSA. Should have first-chaired a deposition. Must be licensed to practice law in Maryland and, preferably, in the District of Columbia.
