Legal Assistant / Paralegal The candidate will gain a thorough understanding of the legal department’s work and its context in the organization as a whole. Will provide general assistance to attorney and legal department involving a variety of legal work, including the gathering of factual information relative to legal issues. Gather information and materials in preparation for cases, agreements, contracts, and litigation. Assist in drafting various legal documents for attorney review. Maintain schedule, coordinate meetings and appointments. Assist with meeting attorney deadlines. Assist with administrative paperwork relative to real estate transactions. Maintain accurate records and files. Assist others with projects outside their areas of responsibility (team player). Perform all other duties as assigned. An Associate’s Degree and/or 3+ years of experience are needed. Paralegal certificate is preferred. Real estate closing experience is a plus. Should possess a strong proficiency working with Microsoft Office. Must have a clean background. Excellent communications skills including proper use of grammar and correct spelling is needed. Excellent research and writing skill is essential. Excellent computer skills are required with being proficient with Microsoft Office is essential.
