Profile

Paralegal The candidate will receive all administrative charges and civil litigation filed against the company alleging employment law violations. Will monitor outside counsel for adherence to deadlines. Prepare and maintain employment litigation report and provide information as needed to litigation paralegals. Maintain legal files for all matters and litigation handled by Managing Counsel. Assist Counsel with handling and administration of immigration matters. Maintain files and required documentation for all non-immigrant Visa applications. Maintain public access files. Monitor status of Visas and their respective expiration dates. Assist internal clients with vendor Visa support letters. Handle wage garnishments and subpoenas. Correspond by mail to seek correction of such documents when necessary. Collect responsive documents from relevant departments for production. Conduct legal research into local, state and federal employment law to ensure compliance. Perform special projects that will include the preparation of Excel Spreadsheets, PowerPoint slides, Visio. Maintain and administer the Litigation Hold process. Create and maintain records related to litigation holds, document preservation memos and reminder memos. Supervise the collection and storage of materials gathered in connection with litigation hold. Assist Managing Counsel in analysis of items subject to litigation hold.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should preferably have a Bachelor's degree. Paralegal certificate from an accredited program is a plus. Must have 3-5 years of paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department. Employment law support experience a plus. Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills are required. Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook and familiarity with computer databases are needed.
