Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. A combination of 3 years experience drafting and/or reviewing contracts, Invitation to Bids and Request for Proposals. Attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. Previous work and educational experience in software and technology products. Ability to work independently and as a team member in a professional manner. Strong business process skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills. Proficient at Microsoft Office Products, and the Internet. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate, including contract manager certification. Preferred Qualifications: Strong educational foundation in technology and software. Legal Assistant or Paralegal degree, JD Degree, Master’s in Business Administration from an accredited institution of higher education. Experience with Total Contract Manager from Sciquest/Jaggaer or equivalent contracts platform. 3 years’ public procurement and/or contracting experience with University or other Texas public sector. Strong background in working with software, and in technology and technology purchases and/or contracts. Preferred application would be a Certified Texas Procurement Manager (CTPM), Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM) or a Purchasing/Contract Development certification (CTCD). For applicants who are not certified, certification within 18 months of hire.
