Adjunct Faculty - Business Administration
The candidate will perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes. Will provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught to students and follows syllabus content and requirements. Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook. Submits requested information within established timelines. STUDENTS: Is available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions/provide assistance. Deal with student concerns and, if necessary, consult with program coordinator to resolve issues. Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s). Use technology such as Blackboard, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate. In event of emergency absence, notifies program/department chair. Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views. Promote same as an integral part of one's work. Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction. A qualified faculty member in Business Administration meets the program standard through one of four routes. Should have master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in business administration, public administration, management, marketing, or a business-administration-related field as appropriate to the program; or earned related or out-of field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documented 18 post-secondary semester hours or equivalent of courses beyond the introductory principle(s) level in business administration, public administration, management, marketing, or a business-administration-related field as appropriate to the program; or earned related or out-of-field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, Professional certification (national, regional or state) is essential. 2+ years of in-field professional employment is essential. Must have relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU’s, vendor, or military; or an earned bachelor’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in business administration, public administration, management, marketing, or a business-administration-related field as appropriate to the program, with documentation in two or more of the following; Professional certification (national, regional or state) in the field
