Legal Analyst - Paralegal The candidate will perform delegated paralegal tasks under the guidance and direction of attorneys. Will draft contracts, correspondence, and memoranda. Analyze and summarize documents for review by business partners and attorneys. Conduct factual research on a wide-range of environmental, safety, and property issues. Conduct legal research and analysis on environmental and safety regulations and laws. Assist in collecting documentation and preparing responses to regulatory requests for information. Contribute solutions to legal teams supporting environmental and safety projects. Work closely with Chevron business partners and attorneys to solve a variety of day-to-day issues, and support a broad range projects. Paralegal certificate from ABA approved program is essential. Regulatory, environmental, safety, or property experience is needed. Bachelor's degree is needed. Should have 7+ years of experience as a paralegal. Ability to effectively analyze and communicate legal issues across broad functional and organizational lines (e.g., business partners, subject matter experts and attorneys) is needed. Strong organizational, analytical, proofreading, editing, and research skills are essential. Strong communications skills (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills are needed. Ability to work in a team environment and partner with management, business partners, in-house counsel, outside counsel, and staff is needed. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of tools is needed.
