Legal Administrative Assistant The candidate will be performing administrative support and secretarial duties including: Word-processing letters, reports, documents, and correspondence. Photocopying and filing. Answering and screening telephone calls; retrieving messages from voice mail. Opening, routing and responding to correspondence. Making appointments, travel arrangements and maintaining files. Arranging for outside services (i.e., printing, repair of office equipment, etc.). Performing special projects and reports as requested. Paying bills and processes expense reports. Ensuring timely submission of time reports by regional staff. Recruiting and overseeing the work of interns. Maintaining mailing lists/databases and processes office mail. Assisting with mailings/faxes, etc. Performing miscellaneous duties as directed. Should have good written and oral communication skills. Must have 1-2 years of general office experience. Should have excellent word processing and database skills including experience designing, implementing and maintaining basic document formats and ability to type 60 wpm. Demonstrated good organizational and problem-solving skills are needed. Must have the ability to deal tactfully and effectively with staff, volunteers and the public.
