Legal Assistant/Paralegal Duties: Entails interaction with clients, attorneys, and county officials; therefore, task accuracy and effective interpersonal communication skills are mandatory. Applicant must be detail oriented, articulate and self-motivated. Previous office and multi-line phone system experience is required. Must be bilingual (Spanish). Perform general clerical duties, included but not limited to, copying, faxing, and mailing; Communicate with current and potential clients to obtain required documents, collect payments, confirm court appearances and schedule meetings; Organize and set up new files; Client interaction; E-file pleadings/motions/orders; Maintain office calendar for court appearances and meetings; Gather supporting documents for attorneys and paralegals; File documents at the request of attorneys and/or paralegals; Run errands at the request of the attorneys and/or paralegals.
Qualification and Experience
REQUIREMENTS: Must have 7+ years of experience is a Civil Litigation firm. Must speak Spanish. Must be very organized, detail oriented, articulate, self-motivated, and able to follow office procedures. Must be able to use PC computers with experience using MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Organize office & files—Confidential legal matters.
