The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, a proven track record in managing complex family-related legal issues, and a passion for advocating for clients. The role involves representing clients in various family law matters, drafting legal documents, and preparing cases for court. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, equitable distribution, child custody, child support, and spousal support.
- Understand that clients' problems are multifaceted and provide holistic support.
- Foster positive relationships with clients and deliver excellent customer service.
- Develop case strategies and provide direction to paralegals and legal assistants.
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and separation agreements.
- Prepare and present cases in court effectively.
- Negotiate settlements when appropriate, including representing clients in mediation and settlement conferences.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
- Stay updated on changes in family law legislation and incorporate relevant updates into practice.
- Manage a full caseload and ensure thorough case management.
- Work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the State of North Carolina.
- 5+ years of family law experience strongly preferred.
- Proven success in representing clients in various family law matters.
- Experience managing a full caseload effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education:
