Shinners & Cook, law firm, seeks a Legal Secretary for our Saginaw office.  We look for motivated candidates with strong communication skills, organizational skills, who can operate in a fast-paced environment.  A candidate who can work under pressure while problem solving regarding work assignments is required.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and organize physical files and corresponding computer files.
  • Facilitate client interaction.
  • Communicates verbally and in writing effectively.
  • Knowledge of a multiple-line phone system, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Capable of meeting with clients with minimal or no supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in typing 60 wpm (testing required).
  • Experience with business, real estate, estate planning, litigation, or probate work is preferred, but not required.
  • Familiarity with various legal documents if preferred by not required.
