Secretary (OA), GS 9 Duties: Develops office procedures and practices to meet needs for efficient operations. Responds to inquiries and administrative problems. Reviews calendar issues and requirements, and adjusts priorities. Acts as administrative liaison. Screens incoming calls and handles all routine matters. Reviews all correspondences for clarity, completeness of reply and grammatical and procedural correctness.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-08)within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience in performing high level secretarial and administrative duties for Senior Executive Level Staff or equivalent in an organization. Develops office procedures and practices to meet observed needs for efficient operation of the office. Reviews, analyzes, and initiates recommendations for new, revised, or modified administrative policies and procedures relating to secretarial functions. Handles inquiries or problems from senior level representatives independently, or refers them to the appropriate functional manager with follow-up to ensure action is taken.
