Criminal Law - Prosecution
Intelligence Analyst - Law Duties: The candidate will engage in work ranging from counterterrorism to organized crime, cyber, and beyond. Will piece together fragments of information from a variety of sources to craft an accurate account of a complex situation, threat, or case. Collect and combine disparate bits of information from a wide array of sources, such as local and national intelligence databases, as well as from information-sharing programs with local, state, federal, and international partners. Use language, cultural, historical, and specialized knowledge to form an integrated picture of criminal, national security and public safety matters. Gather and analyze collected intelligence to develop fact-based, actionable conclusions which you will draft into intelligence reports and briefing materials. Consolidate and analyze all relevant data to create and maintain awareness for own office/unit's area of responsibility and priority threats, including observed and potential threat components, indicators, and vulnerabilities discovered through own research.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications for GS-07: The candidate should have completed a Bachelor's degree with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher to qualify under Superior Academic Achievement OR Have completed one full year of graduate level education OR Meet the definition of a Graduating Senior and you are expected to complete all degree requirements within nine months of application in one of the desired fields. OR Have completed a Bachelor's degree outside of one of the desired fields of study AND have 1+ year of entry-level work experience in a field related to one of the desired skill sets listed above. Entry-level work experience (equivalent to the Grade 5) must have included: Working on a project or in a job to collect information from various sources and make decisions based on requirements given. Communicating orally and in writing. For GS-09: The candidate should have completed a Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree. OR Have two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Master's degree or LL.B. or J.D. degree in one of the desired fields. OR Have completed a Master's degree outside of one of the desired fields of study AND have 1+ year of entry-level work experience in a field related to one of the desired skill sets listed above. Entry-level work experience (equivalent to the Grade 7) must have included: Working on a project or in a job to collect information from various sources and make decisions based on requirements given.
