Intellectual Property - Trademark/Copyright

Tempe office of our client seeks mid-level trademark attorney with 2-3 years of experience. The candidate will provide trademark advice, clearance, prosecution, and maintenance; copyright advice, and related enforcement. Will provide high-quality service to internal clients on all assigned trademark, patent, copyright, and domain name matters. Work closely with legal counsel in the enforcement of company intellectual property rights. Coordinate with and providing support to internal/external counsel, team paralegals, and a wide-range of internal company personnel. Must have experience of managing trademark clearance, including supervision of paralegal staff reviewing and analyzing preliminary and full trademark search reports, and providing opinions, guidance and advice to business teams regarding the availability of trademarks for use and/or registration. Should have experience of managing trademark prosecution and maintenance, working with paralegal staff to prepare and file with the US Patent and Trademark Office all necessary documents, including trademark applications, Office Action responses, Statements of Use and post-registration documents, and corresponding with foreign counsel with respect to the filing and prosecution of trademark applications and the maintenance of trademark registrations internationally. Experience of managing the registration of copyrights in the US and foreign jurisdictions is essential. Should have experience of overseeing the review of packaging, artwork and other materials to ensure proper trademark use; IP audits and due diligence projects; and the preparation of IP schedules for licenses and other agreements. Must have experience of providing counseling and training to clients regarding various trademark and copyright matters. Experience of assisting with IP enforcement matters in the United States before the Trademark Trials and Appeals Board is needed. Experience in trademark clearance work would also be essential. Must have admission to one State Bar. Knowledge of trademark and copyright law is required.
