Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant
The candidate will prepare and finalize pleadings in accordance with applicable State and Federal rules for filing with court, Manage attorney's schedule and calendar all meetings/deadlines, Assist with document retrieval, review, organization, and production, Maintain case pleadings, correspondence, discovery, and research for large volume cases, Cite-check and edit/revise legal documents, Maintain and use document, transcript, and work product databases, Organize and prepare exhibit lists and/or privilege logs, Coordinate work with outside document/litigation vendors, including adherence to strict deadlines, Coordinate and assist with trial preparations, i.e., exhibits, witness binders, and demonstratives, Assist with trial site preparation and attend trials, Maintain confidentiality of client information, Strong written and verbal communication skills, Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills, Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with or without direct supervision, Ability to multitask, Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to locate specific items on the internet, Working knowledge of FileSite or I-Manage, Strong writing and editing skills, Minimum of two years of litigation and trial experience in a law firm, required, BS/BA degree or equivalent experience, preferred.

Cons : The rapid growth has had its problems with organization. Divisions aren't lined up very well and there is confusion over who is going to be handling certain cases.
