The candidate will demonstrate: 5 years’ experience working in a similar capacity. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and database/internet research skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, including proficient use of Styles, creation of Tables of Contents, and advanced document assembly. Experience using WorkSite/FileSite or other document management systems. Experience with prioritizing work and managing workflow. Ability to compose, edit and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports. Ability to coordinate and manage routine administrative work, such as scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, preparing expense reimbursements, etc. Strong proofreading skills and overall continual attention to detail.

Treat support staff better so that there is more consistency in this area. Give people more opportunities to expand their roles, and make sure these people are selected based on merit. Help IT do their jobs better.Pros : Pretty good pay and benefits. Stable client base. Doesn't suffer as much from typical big-firm problems, to the extent you might think. Looks good on a resume.
