Job Overview

A law firm seeks a skilled Associate Attorney with experience in Tort litigation to join its growing office in Las Vegas, NV. This role involves representing corporations and insurance companies in general liability, professional liability, and insurance coverage disputes. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of three years of experience in Tort law and possess strong analytical and communication skills, along with a client-focused approach.

Duties

• Case Strategy and Analysis:

  • Conduct initial case evaluations and develop strategic plans for case direction.

• Discovery and Depositions:

  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.

• Legal Writing and Motions:

  • Draft motions and attend hearings as required.

• Client Consultation and Relationship Building:

  • Advise clients on legal options, possible outcomes, and risks.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with clients to maintain trust and satisfaction.

• Negotiation and Communication:

  • Negotiate settlements, conduct research, and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership and good standing in Nevada.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Tort law.
• Strong critical thinking abilities and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency in problem-solving.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet billable hour targets.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an ABA-accredited institution.

Certifications

• Active and valid Nevada State Bar License.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook; familiarity with iManage and OneDrive is advantageous.
• Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills.
