Detroit office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks associate attorney with 8-10 years of litigation experience. The candidate will assist in the defense of civil litigation claims and lawsuits in the office. Will develop defense case strategy. Identify and evaluate legal options. Prepare motions, briefs, case evaluation/facilitation summaries and legal memoranda. Communicate with Clients to provide explanations of legal strategies and potential actions as well as obtaining approval for a course of action. Will also be asked to prepare all facets of the defense of personal injury and/or property damage lawsuits by: gathering evidence; attending and taking depositions of opposing parties, witnesses, treating physicians, Police Officers, etc.; attending Court Hearings; preparing for and attending Case Evaluation Hearings; attending client meetings; reviewing investigative findings; consulting with experts; engaging expert witnesses; preparing and interviewing witnesses; completing written and other discovery; and developing legal defenses and evidence. Must have experience in defending first and third party no-fault automobile litigation or defending other personal injury or property damage litigation/claims, as well as have the demonstrated ability to handle all aspects of the litigation process.
