Legal Assistant
The candidate will supports 7 attorneys. Should have proficient e-filing experience, particularly in DE, such as Lexis/Nexis File and Serve, CM/ECF and eflex or bankruptcy and labor relations practice and arbitration, mediation experience is a plus. Should have 2 years of post-high school education in any business or other related field and 2 years of experience in a legal environment. Demonstrated equivalent experience will be considered as determined by management. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills and proficiency in all Microsoft products is required. Knowledge of other legal programs, i.e., Rainmaker, IManage, is desirable.

add a way to anonymously submit concerns. Focus less on shareholders and more on cultivating younger talent, and instilling loyalty in attorneys and staff who get things done. Be flexible and recognize effort to retain talent.

Pros : The benefits are great, people are (mostly) nice, and the attorneys are very good at what they do. Pay is a little lower than industry average for associates and staff, but annual bonuses help compensate for it. Flexibility to work from multiple office branches, and it’s possible to become a shareholder before 45.
Cons : Management has gone through some big changes since fall 2019, and new practices make it clear they no longer value the safety or loyalty of support staff over firm profits. There is no anonymous way to file a grievance or complaint, without going through management. Some people have clearly been hired to check off c-suite diversity boxes despite growing evidence of their inability to adequately and legally perform their responsibilities.
