Job Overview: A law firm specializing in employment law is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join their Atlanta, GA office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defending and prosecuting employment-related lawsuits and providing strategic counsel to employers.

Duties:

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving various employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
  • Represent employers in various forums, including court, administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitrations, handling class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete cases.
  • Provide proactive advice and counsel to employers on compliance with labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and client counseling.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • 5+ years of litigation experience with a strong emphasis on employment law.
  • Active membership in the Georgia Bar or ability to obtain admission promptly.
  • In-depth knowledge of state and federal court procedures and employment-related agency practices.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work product.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management abilities.
  • Dedication to professionalism, teamwork, and collegiality, while also capable of working independently on assigned projects.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Georgia Bar or eligibility for prompt admission.
