A law firm based in Washington, DC is seeking a highly skilled Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on compliance with federal and state employee benefits laws, including ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and other relevant regulations.
  • Analyze and interpret health and welfare plan provisions and qualified retirement plan issues.
  • Draft and review employee benefit plan documents, including plan summaries, amendments, and policies.
  • Provide legal counsel on executive compensation matters, including stock options, bonuses, and other incentive plans.
  • Conduct due diligence and provide legal support for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions involving employee benefits and executive compensation.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of strategies to ensure client plans comply with legal requirements.
  • Manage client relationships, providing clear and timely advice while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting employee benefits and executive compensation.
  • Participate in firm meetings, client presentations, and professional development activities.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 3-6 years of experience in employee benefits and executive compensation law.
  • Strong knowledge of ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and other relevant legislation.
  • Proven experience in drafting and analyzing health and welfare plans and qualified retirement plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in Washington, DC.
