Paralegal The candidate will work in the following areas: Guardianships, Probate, and Elder Law. Duties include preparing and submitting legal documents related to guardianship matters and medical assistance applications throughout the state of Maryland; communicating with clients and third parties, by telephone and in writing, regarding their cases and obtaining necessary information; tracking and monitoring all filing deadlines and maintaining client matter spreadsheet; and drafting advanced health care directives, powers of attorney, Wills, and other similar documents. Will also be responsible for preparing documentation related to estate administration, probate, and trust administration matters. Will possess Paralegal degree or experience equivalent. Additional qualifications include excellent analytical and organizational skills, ability to work as part of a team and willingness to learn. Strong communication (written and verbal) and project management skills essential. Previous paralegal experience in at least one of the following areas helpful: medical assistance planning, estate planning, and/or probate.
