Job Title: Patent Agent
Job Overview: A prominent law firm located in Miami, FL is seeking an experienced Patent Agent to join its Intellectual Property Services group. This role is particularly suited for candidates with backgrounds in electrical engineering or biotechnology, coupled with prior experience in patent law. The Patent Agent will work closely with patent attorneys to prepare and prosecute patent applications, helping to protect clients' innovations.
Duties:
- Collaborate with inventors on newly developed products to identify patentable inventions.

- Draft patent applications, ensuring adherence to legal standards with guidance from the patent team.
- Manage the patent application process from submission to grant, ensuring timelines are met.

Requirements:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering is required; a Master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
- Certifications: USPTO Registration is mandatory.
- Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in patent law or related fields.
