A law firm seeks an experienced healthcare regulatory associate to join its Healthcare and Life Sciences Practice. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in healthcare regulatory matters, specifically in reimbursement compliance and transactional due diligence. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic, diverse, and fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Provide legal support in reimbursement matters, including compliance, coding, coverage, and payment for innovative products and services.
  • Conduct thorough transactional due diligence and assist in deal documentation and negotiation for emerging companies, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets.
  • Counsel clients on fraud and abuse regulations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to devise effective regulatory strategies tailored to their needs.
  • Stay informed about current regulations and market trends affecting the healthcare sector.
  • Prepare and review various legal documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to applicable regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of experience in healthcare regulatory law.
  • Strong understanding of reimbursement compliance and transactional matters.
  • Preferred experience in fraud and abuse counseling and compliance.
  • Exceptional analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic performance is preferred.

Certifications

  • Must be licensed to practice law in DC.

Skills

  • Proficient in legal research and regulatory analysis.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Capable of articulating complex legal concepts clearly to clients and colleagues.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating regulatory documents effectively.
