ProfileLegal Assistant Duties: Work directly with attorneys in a challenging and fast-paced setting. Manage calendaring of attorneysâ€™ appointments and court appearances and assist in meeting deadlines; schedule appointments, provide information to clients, and prepare routine correspondence; ensure proper preparation and filing of documents and pleadings; preparation of mail and mail distribution; and perform word processing and communicate with the firmâ€™s clients via email and telephone.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate must: be able to work independently with responsibilities and be proficient in written and oral communication skills; possess a keen attention to detail and accuracy while processing documents and pleadings; possess a proven ability to prioritize and deal with multiple tasks; possess enhanced interpersonal skills and the ability to manage and meet deadlines; be willing to assist and perform administrative and clerical work for attorneys within the firm; have a professional, positive, energetic and detail-oriented approach to work and problem solving; maintain a customer service orientation, be courteous and diplomatic in exchange of information and present a positive image of the law firm to its clients and to the public; be highly computer literate with a solid understanding of Windows environment; and adhere to strict confidentiality requirements of client information.
