Westwood office of our client seeks junior to mid-level IP transaction/data privacy attorney with broad-based experience in a large law firm, including mergers and acquisitions transactions, licensing and other commercial transactions. The candidate will provide a wide range of cross-functional support to the technology transactions and data privacy teams, including transaction due diligence (representing both acquirers and sellers, licensors and licensees), policy formation, implementation and compliance, contract review, drafting and negotiation and related matters. Will also support these teams in advising a diverse, global client base on compliance and best practices across all aspects of global privacy and data protection law and regulation, including data use and sharing, analytics, data retention and data security. Should have 1+ year of transactional experience focused on data privacy and security matters, including the European or Asian data privacy landscape. In-depth knowledge of U.S. and European or Asian privacy statutes and regulations, with strong expertise in one sector such as financial, health care/life sciences, children’s privacy or ad-tech are required. Licensed to practice law in the U.S is essential.
