Senior Sourcing Category and Relationship Manager-IT Responsibilities: Developing IT-specific category strategies, leading complex negotiations, contract formation, change management efforts, and directing cross-functional teams throughout the sourcing, contracting and vendor assessment processes. Specializes in the IT-related spend categories through the development of sourcing and save strategies as part of both short-term and long-term sourcing category plans. Oversees the execution of sourcing and procurement tasks, development and execution of business client reporting, and serves as coordination point for driving cross-functional category teams. Negotiate and implement strategic, market-based IT sourcing strategies - including professional services agreements, master service agreements, SOWs, purchase agreements, and NDAs; prepare contract summaries; work with members of the Legal department and other support groups such as Sourcing, Finance, HR, Risk and IT to ensure the timely completion of contracts that minimize risk and support optimal total cost of ownership objectives; analyze contract requirements, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with company risk guidelines. Team lead for the development and execution of IT-specific category and contract requirements Works with key IT business partners and senior leadership to understand strategic direction, supply requirements, business objectives and priorities in order to drive cost savings and efficiencies for the firm. Effectively communicates contract requirements/market dynamics to IT business leaders ensuring alignment of IT strategies. Drives thought leadership in the IT category by providing market and industry intelligence, innovation and best practices including third-party risk assessment. Manages stakeholder and supplier engagement, effectively delegating activities and tasks to drive process to completion. Supports integration of S2P strategy and IT business objectives by ensuring that legal and other support areas (ie: vendor risk, finance, etc.) inputs are considered in the development of IT and supply chain strategies Supports accomplishment of company third-party/supplier risk assessment processes including monitoring, control and mitigation. Leads and promotes change management as required to ensure success in S2P activities. Provides professional supplier contract review and recommendations. Develops supplier and fact-based negotiation strategies to manage key supplier relationships.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: BS/BA Degree and MBA/JD Degree in business, finance, supply chain or related field (extensive and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of MBA degree). 12+ years of relevant contract /sourcing/ legal experience for large-scale operation. Knowledge and experience of IT category and contracts development, negotiation and administration concepts and practices acquired through previous relevant experience preferably in a large scale mortgage or finance company . Demonstrated track record of success leading major strategic contract/sourcing and supplier management programs across a range of indirect/professional services categories. Solid contract management and sourcing experience, with proven experience managing cross-functional and/or global teams in a highly matrixed environment. Relevant knowledge and experience working with contract management and workflow tools. Excellent organizational, analytical, time management skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, negotiation skills with strong influencing and persuasive talents. Self-motivated, takes initiative and has the ability to effectively organize, multi-task and prioritize a wide array of initiatives. Has an aptitude for innovation. High integrity and ethics. Ability to address controversial topics and to challenge assumptions, opinions, and decision to ensure that actions taken are in the organizationâ€™s best interest. Ability to foster an environment and practices that encourage and support integrity, collaboration and mutual respect. Extensive knowledge and experience in current market, legal and regulatory terms and requirements in the areas of IT procurement. Solid knowledge of project management methodologies.
