Patent Prosecution Associate The candidate will be responsible for: conducting patent-mining and patent-brainstorming with client product teams; conducting disclosure meetings with clients for new patent applications; drafting and filing original patent applications; conducting examiner interviews, drafting responses to office actions and handling all other aspects of patent prosecution from filing to issuance; supervising others, including patent attorneys and patent agents, on all the preceding; and advising clients on strategic patent-portfolio development and management. Should preferably have an undergraduate or advanced degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering and a high level of academic achievement at an accredited law school. Must have 4-6 years of patent prosecution experience. Should preferably also be licensed to practice law in California, have a USPTO registration number, and have experience working in the IP department of a comparable law firm. Experience in patent litigation or PTAB trials is a plus.
