Workforce Development Lead The candidate will serve as a member of the laboratory communications group and will work closely with researchers, other staff, and external stakeholders to provide project management, planning, budgetary and technical oversight, and coordination for â€™s workforce development programs sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Will work on developing and maintaining positive working relationships and serving as â€™primary point of contact with DOEâ€™s Office of Science Office of Workforce Development for Teachers and Scientists. Duties generally include recruiting and placing interns and visiting faculty participants, coordinating with mentors, collaborating with other internship program administrators, documenting outcomes and successes, and ensuring that meets DOEâ€™s performance requirements.
Qualification and Experience
Qualification: The candidate should have relevant Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant Master's Degree and 3+ years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant PhD or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant JD degree or equivalent relevant education/experience. Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field is essential. Must have general knowledge of other related disciplines. Considerable knowledge of laws, regulations, principles, procedures and practices related to specific field. Strong leadership, project management and problem solving skill is essential. Previous federal agency workforce development program management experience is preferred. Outstanding relationship and budget management, writing, and editing skill is preferred. Familiarity with renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies is preferred.
