A law firm seeks an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join its team in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of expertise in estate planning, estate administration, probate, and related services. The position offers a fantastic opportunity to work independently while providing high-level legal support to clients across Florida. This role requires a professional with strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering excellent client service.

Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive legal services in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, and probate
  • Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents
  • Advise clients on strategies for minimizing taxes, asset protection, and wealth transfer
  • Assist clients with the probate process, including filing petitions and managing the administration of estates
  • Work closely with clients and their families to navigate complex legal and financial matters
  • Ensure all legal documentation and procedures comply with Florida state laws
  • Guide clients through the process of establishing trusts and creating plans for their assets
  • Represent clients in probate court as necessary
  • Collaborate with financial professionals, accountants, and other experts to provide clients with holistic legal solutions
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation for ongoing cases and clients

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in estate planning, estate administration, and probate law
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively
  • High level of professionalism and excellent attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Ability to manage complex and sensitive client matters with discretion
  • Experience providing strategic legal advice on wealth transfer, tax planning, and asset protection

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Florida Bar, in good standing

Skills:

  • Exceptional drafting and legal research skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle complex legal issues in estate planning and probate matters
  • Knowledge of Florida estate planning and probate laws
  • Proficiency in case management software and legal research tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and client service orientation
