ProfileInternship Program, Winter 2018 The candidate will work with the Press Internship. Press interns learn many of the basic skills it takes to become a communications professional in a progressive nonprofit from a front-row seat. They are involved in all core activities of the Press team and are assigned day-to-day activities to help integrate them into the work. Interns help monitor news stories, compile news clips, develop target press lists, staff CAP events, assist with preparing interview briefing materials, shadow expert interviews on TV and radio, and much more. Other duties may include conducting targeted research and attending policy team meetings, congressional hearings, panels, and events. Note: Part-time students are accepted, but interns must be able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week. Duration: January - March
