Duties

  • Provide legal support to the firm’s Government Contracts practice, handling litigation and compliance matters
  • Collaborate with attorneys in other practice areas on cross-functional projects
  • Conduct legal research and analysis, and prepare related legal documents and reports
  • Represent clients in negotiations and proceedings as necessary
  • Maintain direct client contact, ensuring consistent and high-quality service
  • Manage multiple cases and projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Uphold and contribute to the firm’s commitment to diversity and inclusion

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of litigation experience, with a focus on Government Contracts preferred
  • Admission to the Virginia Bar is preferred, with eligibility or commitment to gaining admission to the District of Columbia Bar if not already admitted
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

Education

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Strong academic credentials are required

Certifications

  • Active bar membership in Virginia or another jurisdiction with a commitment to District of Columbia admission

Skills

  • Exceptional writing and analytical skills, with consistent attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple cases concurrently
  • Effective client interaction skills and a client-focused mindset
  • Ability to work efficiently in both in-person and remote settings, with a commitment to being on-site at least three days per week
