Social Security Disability Associate AttorneyThe candidate will be responsible for attending disability hearings nationwide including the New York tristate through video conferencing and physically when needed. The associate will be responsible for file reviews, drafting pre and post-hearing briefs, response to proffers, and appeal council briefs. In addition, the associate is responsible for completing client intakes, providing client proper and updated status on their cases, providing directive to the paralegals and assist department manager on all active case including initial application, hearings, appeals council and District Court. Non-hearing duties include file review and brief writing on all assigned cases. Must be able to work hours of operations (8am to 6pm). BAR Certified, licensed disability advocate. Working knowledge of Social Security Disability laws and procedures. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong research and analytical skills. Ability to handle large caseloads and juggle multiple priorities & deadlines. Excellent negotiation skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Strong technology skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office software and legal research platforms such as Pro Law, and Litify. Ability to work remote. Litigation experience and strong trial experience. Understanding of medical, scientific, construction, products, engineering, and similar issues inherent in workers compensation cases. Compassion and understanding of injured workers' plight. Understanding of claims filing process. Bilingual Spanish, Chinese, Portuguese, or Albanian fluency preferred.

Continue to promote from within, employees appreciate the opportunity. I like the dress down Fridays. I would like it if there were summer hours for employees who choose to come in early to leave early in the summer time.
Pros : Everyone here is so nice to work with. They believe in promoting from within. You receive a lot of training and the supervisors are always around if you have questions. I am only here 5 months and I feel like an important part of a team.Cons : There really isn't any "worst of the firm" thing I have to say. When working here it is what you make it. If you put the work in you will be compensated. There is a lot of work to be done so if you are not afraid to work hard, you will be fine.
