Legal Assistant
The candidate will manage an active calendar of appointments, meetings, and travel plans. Compose and prepare confidential correspondence. Transcribe, type, proofread, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, memos, and reports from dictation, handwritten or existing documents. Maintain and organize both hard-copy and electronic files and coordinate process of service on individuals. Process new client/matter documentation including collection and processing of initial conflicts information, input info Firm's new business intake system, and prepare engagement letters to clients. Respond and resolve questions or concerns from clients and other attorneys in a timely and professional manner. Prepare and submit attorney expense reimbursement. Provide assistance in civic, charitable, community, and professional activities. High School Diploma or Equivalent Required; Certificate or Undergraduate Degree preferred. 2+ years legal assistant experience preferred. Technology savvy, with an advanced level of proficiency in MS Office Suite required. Preferred knowledge of iManage or other electronic document management program. Strong organizational skills with excellent judgment and attention to detail required. Exceptional communication skills via phone, email and in-person.

More advancement opportunities need to be offered and the environment more structured to improve the workers there would be wonderful.

Pros : The place is large and has many clients so the work is always there. Some team members are on task all the time.
Cons : I felt my time here is tedious and draining. Working here for over 10 years and with little advancement make me feel I am not deemed worth.
