Director of Network and Medical Analytics The candidate directs and coordinates data analytic activities associated with organizing, implementing and meeting departmental goals. Performs critical modeling and analytic projects necessary to measure and manage the Population Health trends of Care Management commercial health products and to support the development of commercial networks through analytics. Reports up through an Actuary but does not necessarily need to be filled by an Actuary. Engages in strategic planning and tactical implementation of data analytic activities. Establishes organization metrics to support project goals and develops improvement plans. Oversees the preparation of organization reports and analyses. Manages activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, corrective actions, and continuing education initiatives. Serves as lead analyst where extensive and sophisticated analysis is required for building major analytics capabilities for the organization. Responsible for identifying, analyzing, understanding, presenting key drivers of the Management business as well as the businesses of potential and existing internal and external clients. Defines, develops, and provides metrics and research relating to planning, piloting, and implementing new business service lines. dentifies, organizes, and analyzes qualitative and quantitative clinical, financial, operational, psycho-social, demographic, and administrative data from multiple sources, and synthesizes results, measurements, and key performance metrics into meaningful reports and presentations on a regular basis. Responsible for developing and planning at least one major body of strategic and quantitative analysis – including the use of unstructured or original data created by our clinical and member services teams. Creates standardized methods for quantifying and clearly articulating qualitative information, including root causes, potential inflection opportunities, and solutions for key business problems relating to the data. Provides guidance and support to Care Management's senior leadership and staff for attaining company and departmental goals consistent with measurable outcomes and performance metrics established with the guidance of the MissionPoint leadership.Desired Responsibilities Oversee book of business and market level trend analysis for Commercial lines Oversee Network Adequacy and Performance Analytics Transform data and trends to identify opportunities for quality and cost improvements within the Commercial populations. Support analysis of risks and opportunities within commercial contracts. Support strategic and tactical direction of building out and improving commercial networks.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare or related field. Master’s Degree in Business, law, finance, health policy, or other related field is strongly preferred and 5+ years of experience building robust quantitative analyses from scratch to demonstrate performance of key business outcomes and be able to present those analyses in clear, succinct, and persuasive visual and oral form to senior leadership of organizations with associated ambiguity relating to building and executing on a new business concept and strategy required. Must have 5+ years of experience in designing, planning, and executing to deliver new bodies of qualitative and quantitative analytical work product, ideally in an industry with complex consumer or member dynamics and multi-variate data sets from multiple sources and creatively presenting information to all levels of leadership in organizations of different sizes and types. Must have 5+ years of experience. 8+ years of healthcare analytics and medical economics experience is desired. Strong communication skills with an ability translate complex models into easily understood information accessible to a variety of audience is preferred. Experience managing a technical staff is preferred.
