Contracting Strategy Director Duties: Reporting to the Director of Commercial Strategy and Operations. Will be one of the crucial members of the Commercialization team, supporting, and often leading, the Commercialization team in analyzing, structuring, and executing against key initiatives. Some of these initiatives will be time-bound efforts to capitalize upon particular opportunities or long-term product planning for the fiscal year or sales cycle. Will work closely with Legal, Product, and GTM team leadership to develop the overarching product contracting goals of the teams and understand day-to-day challenges in working toward those goals. Create and improve processes, maintain records, conduct legal research and coordinate communications across the team. may find yourself working with multiple groups within the Legal Department, internal clients across ODC, and external parties. Help prepare existing agreement templates for use within our systems, maintain and disseminate supporting documentation and FAQs, and prepare and conduct trainings for the GTM team. will manage projects to keep team information up-to-date and provide the team with a variety of relevant metrics. Will also assist with other operational projects on behalf of the Products and Agreements Legal team. Contracting Strategy: Working with Legal and Sales Leaders to review, draft, manage commercial agreements and statements of work. Lead the organization of information and documents using internal systems. Ensure the accuracy of highly-detailed information. Transactional Analysis: Gather deal data and analyze to ensure ODC is structuring sales transactions and furthering ODC goals to reduce sales cycles and accelerate deal closure. This will be accomplished by meeting with sales teams to identify customer's critical business issues and assist in structuring transaction that meet both ODC's requirements and customer needs. Advise GTM on the legal issues and risks, complex agreement structures, approval processes, company policies and procedures. Serve as an authoritative source of knowledge on the Data Cloud business and company’s Legal considerations, educating colleagues uninitiated in either legal or Data Cloud matters as needed. Support the team in driving process for assessing & optimizing contracting workflow, product strategy workstreams, sales operations data integrity, exec-level project management updates, etc.
Qualification and Experience
Preferred Qualifications: At least 5 years of relevant experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, in cloud or hardware. Law or paralegal degree is preferred. Illustrated ability to interpret legal documents, negotiate contracts and work with attorneys to complete agreements. Developed knowledge of document review management applications, data manipulation, data conversion and data analytics. Ability to scope, prioritize, and manage numerous workstreams, creating and maintaining accountability of all involved parties to commit & deliver to specific deliverables & deadlines.
