Paralegal (Intellectual Property) Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation, filing, prosecution and enforcement of trademarks, patents and copyrights in the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), US Copyright Office, and Patent and Trademark Offices in various countries. Manage docketing calendar to ensure timely compliance to the deadline requirements established by the USPTO and other offices. Conduct trademark and patent online research and perform preliminary searches. Assist in litigation of trademark and patent infringement issues by preparing and filing various pleadings and motions, interrogatories, document requests, etc. Draft client correspondence and various legal documents. Review and coordinate attorneys’ billings. Perform administrative support functions, such as preparing agendas and reports for client meetings, preparing and maintaining spreadsheets of clients’ intellectual property portfolios, preparing agreements and coordinating and scheduling client meetings.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or a Paralegal Certificate. 3+ years of IP Paralegal experience. Prior experience with US and foreign prosecution. Working knowledge of USPTO Private PAIR and EFS systems. Strong administrative skills and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
