Paralegal / Legal Assistant Responsibilities: Greeting Clients at the door. Answering Phones. Scheduling Appointments. Assist in the Drafting of Legal Documents. Basic Legal Research. Placing calls to other offices and companies to obtain information on behalf of clients. Creating Spreadsheets. Filing Documents with Local Courts and County Offices. Filing and Organizing within the office. Maintaining a Client Database. Digitizing Incoming Correspondence. Creating and maintaining a detailed schedule of all office work-flow and working files. Caring about the work you do and the overall success of the office.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Experience working in a law firm or a law degree. Preferred: A Bachelors Degree in a research oriented field. An analytic mind. Proficient with Word, Excel and Acrobat. Able to learn new software quickly (I.E. Abacus Law and Lexis-Nexis).
