Job Overview:

A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join its expanding Litigation Practice Group in Portland, Maine. This hybrid role offers a diverse portfolio of litigation cases on behalf of regional and national clients. The position is designed for attorneys with at least three years of litigation experience who are looking for hands-on exposure to complex legal matters and client interaction.

Location:

• Portland, Maine

Duties:

• Represent clients in litigation matters across various industries.
• Participate in all stages of case management, including client interactions, research, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and motions.
• Provide legal counsel based on state and federal laws.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other legal professionals to manage caseload.
• Appear in court, state and federal, and manage cases at both regional and national levels.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of litigation experience.
• Strong legal research and writing abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written advocacy skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment while handling high-level responsibilities.
• Experience representing clients in complex legal matters.
• Judicial clerkship experience preferred but not required.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills:

• Strong litigation and trial preparation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
