Paralegal The candidate will provide excellent customer service and be a team player. Reports to the managing partner, supports multiple attorneys. Generally Maintain and update physical and electronic legal files. Collect and assemble data for business management purposes as assigned by Managing Partner. Maintain calendars and schedule meetings, initial consultations, and hearings for attorneys. Complete and assemble legal research. Draft pleadings and discovery documents. Assist attorneys and clients in responding to discovery requests. Conduct client and witness interviews and document relevant information. Investigate litigants. Assist with brief writing and assembly. Build and maintain relationships with clients, outside attorneys, Judges, court staff and outside administrative professionals with whom the Firm does business. Other special projects as needed. The candidate must have paralegal certificate from a recognized college or university with major course work in paralegal or legal assistant areas. Should have 2+ years of experience in family law. Office or customer service experience a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Should be knowledgeable of electronic legal research.
