Assistant Attorney General - Health and Human Services Division The candidate will provide legal counsel to various agencies within the Maine Department of Health and Human Services Department, including the Division of Licensing and Certification and the firm. Will represent the Department in civil litigation in state and federal courts. Handle administrative appeals of agency decisions; provide legal analysis and advice on regulatory matters. Perform agency rule review and defend agency decisions on appeal to both state and federal courts. Must be members of the Maine Bar in good standing, have an eye for legal detail, be interested in complex state and federal regulations, have strong legal advocacy and writing skills, and have a demonstrated ability to function effectively as part of a team. 0-3 years of legal practice with demonstrated proficiency in civil litigation and/or health/administrative law is preferred.
