Associate - Remote Tech Transactions (Biotech)
The candidate will work for life sciences commercial transactions team that partners with biotechnology and other life science enterprises, including pharmaceutical, medical device, digital health, diagnostic, and discovery tools companies to meet their transactional needs. Will be part of a working group and firm culture that prioritizes mentoring, training, and professional development and values diverse perspectives, collaboration, and high performance. Will immediately have opportunities to interact with some of the most innovative and exciting life sciences companies, be exposed to a range of dynamic transactions, and work closely with other energetic attorneys throughout the national and international offices. Must have 4-6 years of transactional and licensing experience, focused on representing life science companies. Experience should include all or some of the following: complex partnering and licensing arrangements; agreements with academic or research institutions; research and development agreements; manufacturing, supply, and distribution agreements; clinical trial arrangements; material transfer and non-disclosure agreements; and mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, spin-outs and joint venture transactions for companies in the life sciences sectors. A biological science, chemistry, engineering, pharmacy, and/or business background or relevant in-house legal experience, will be considered favorably. Should have interest in the dynamic world of life sciences, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, digital health, medical devices, diagnostics, and discovery tools. Must have superior academic credentials and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable with significant client interaction, including counseling clients on day-to-day matters and a desire to grow into a role leading the structure and negotiation of complex strategic transactions for clients.
