ProfileLease Analyst/Document Specialist The candidate reviews OGM (oil, gas, and mineral) records as part of the due diligence team for asset review projects. Responsible for document indexing duties, including document scanning, document review, and data entry tasks into client's land asset management database systems. Examines oil and gas lease and contract documents to determine relevant provisions in each document pertaining to client land and mineral rights, leases, lease modifications, assignments, lease terms, and restrictions. Examines right of way files (containing easements, deeds, legal descriptions, permits, agreements, contracts, and correspondence relating to the property) in order to determine issues such as multiple line rights, assignability/abandonment clauses, restrictions, and expiration dates. Accurately identifies the provisions and populates the pertinent data fields required for each document reviewed. Identifies problems with title information and refers these to appropriate client representative and/or legal counsel. Reviews, interprets, selects documents, and supervises scanning for permanent storage of all records. Quorum experience is a plus. Basic knowledge of SharePoint, Enertia, and Docusphere is preferred. Must have knowledge of OGM (oil, gas, and minerals) leases and contracts, knowledge of proper legal document execution practices, such as what signatures are required for trusts, conservatorships, guardianships, estates, etc and knowledge of due diligence review of right of way files and understanding of easement assignability and reversionary clauses, restrictions, fractional ownerships, lease payments and terms, and abandonment clauses. Proficiency in advanced office systems and software, such as Excel, Word and Project or similar software programs in order to generate a variety of project reports in response to specific and varied queries is essential.
