Workers' Compensation ParalegalThe candidate should have 2+ years of experience to work in the area of Workers' Compensation defense. This Investigate the facts of a case. Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles. Organize and maintain documents in a paper or electronic filing systems. Draft correspondence and legal documents. Get affidavits and other formal statements. File exhibits, briefs, appeals and other legal documents with the court or opposing counsel. Call clients, witnesses, lawyers, and outside vendors to schedule interviews, meetings, and depositions. Experience in Illinois and Missouri law is required. Should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and general proficiency and ability to learn various software applications.
