Lead Procurement Manager The candidate manages the relationship cycle with firm suppliers. Negotiates and renegotiates new and existing agreements. Prepares scope documents, communications plans and contract awards. Actively partners with our internal customers/stakeholders, other supporting functions and legal teams. Collaborates with stakeholders to develop and execute negotiation strategies that include optimal targets for pricing, service, and quality. Makes decisions according to firm’s Policies and Processes while applying Procurement Best Practices. Responsible for category strategy and developing process improvement efforts aimed at reducing the total cost of ownership and driving overall savings objectives. Improves on time/quality performance, settles vendor disputes, and builds alliances and relationships with strategic vendors. Applies project management experience in creating and managing multiple project schedules for significant internal and external customer facing projects. Proactively sets expectations and holds self and others accountable for meeting milestones. Manage RFQs/RFIs/RFPs; this position works with stakeholders to develop RFP questions, vendors to be included, compiles responses, creates scorecard, leads evaluation discussion, leads finalist meetings, and develops Statement of Work and Performance Guarantees. Strong contract experience and contract knowledge is key including the ability to assist (when needed) firm Attorneys and Business Units with supplier performance or contract issues (provide contract history, supplier notifications and development of action plans). Multi-tasks and able to prioritize project work load and category portfolio for the given fiscal year. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience is required. Should have 10+ years of related experience or 4 plus with a Master’s degree. Must have demonstrated communication and project management skills working with cross-functional teams. Advanced experience in contracting (drafting agreements and negotiating terms) is required. Intermediate Microsoft office experience, intermediate in Excel and PowerPoint preferred. Master’s degree or J.D is preferred. Experience managing supplier relationships for an assigned set of products and/or services including regular supplier performance reviews and discussions is preferred.
